Nicole Handel creates paintings that build on the random and organic qualities of nature and paint. With a contemporary touch of realism she speaks about our interaction with the digital age. Growing up in New England she developed a strong connection with nature that has influences her work as she creates scenes based on her community in Brooklyn NY. She studied Undergraduate Drawing at Pratt Institute of Art and Design . Her work has been featured in exhibitions throughout New York and Massachusetts including the Schafler Gallery, South Side Speakeasy and 210 Gallery. Nicole now lives and works in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. As an artist she is new to the scene but her unclouded, fresh, and unique presentations of pop culture through watercolor are welcome.
